BETHLEHEM – In honor of the Christmas season, Banksy has painted two murals outside his Walled Off Hotel.

The Walled Off Hotel sits mere feet from the separation wall and features much of Banksy’s artwork throughout.

The first of the two new pieces featured two cherubs trying to break open the West Bank separation wall using a crowbar. The artist placed the stencil mural on a crack in the wall, so that the cherubs looking convincingly as though they are succeeding.

One of the cherubs, with a handkerchief over his mouth holds the crowbar. The second cherub pulls at the end of the wall, prying it open. A ladder sits below the crowbar-wielding cherub, as if they are workmen just doing their jobs.
