About this artwork

The original graffiti stencil of Very Little Helps can be found on the side of a building on Essex Road, London. It portrays three children and a flagpole. One of the children is pulling up a plastic Tesco bag as if it were a flag. The two other children have their hands on their hearts, pledging their allegiance to Tesco. It's a sardonic image about consumerism. The children represent society and how we follow the economic system of capitalism without second-guessing it. The title is a clever play on Tesco's slogan: "Every Little Helps."
