About this artwork

Displayed in Banksy's 2003 "Turf Wars"exhibition, this print is a striking image featuring former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. On Churchill's head there is a green mohawk, making him look like a punk rock artist. The green hair resembles a turf mat. It's a satirical image about the meaninglessness of war. Society worships those who fight for pieces of land, even if it causes pain and suffering for innocent people.
