About this artwork

No Ball Games shows two children playing catch. Instead of throwing a ball, they are playing with a sign that says "No Ball Games." We live in a society where social norms and rules define us. We are expected to follow these rules and we teach them to our children. Banksy tells us that it's okay to break the rules sometimes. Society's expectations for children can be too high, they also need to be able to play and explore.
