In 2019, Banksy opened a homewares store called "Gross Domestic Product ™️" in London, which offered a unique selection of items designed by Banksy, including mugs, doormats, and rugs. One of the products, the Banksy GDP 'Welcome Mat,' was crafted using material from life vests abandoned on the shores of the Mediterranean. These mats were produced in collaboration with 'Love Welcomes,' an organisation that helps women in detainment camps in Greece, and the proceeds from the sales were used to support refugees in accessing essential services in the local community.
All Banksy prints marked as sold with a Certificate of Authenticity are supplied with official Banksy provenance in the form of a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Pest Control Office, the only body authorised to authenticate Banksy editions. Other Banksy works we offer, including authorised collectibles and ephemera, are 100% official, but do not come with a Pest Control Certificate, as Banksy does not issue Certificates of Authenticity for every type of work.
