About this artwork

In this print we can see people queueing for a t-shirt booth. The booth is part of a festival, selling red t-shirts with the words "Destroy Capitalism." The people standing in the queue are punks and hippies, groups who are considered to be against capitalism. The irony is that they are still part of capitalism by buying this merchandise. Banksy is showing us that capitalism can even make money of those who oppose it. The opposing of capitalism becomes a part of capitalism.
