Banksy's "Choose Your Weapon" was spotted on a wall in London's Southwark District in 2010. On this stencil we see a white barking dog on a chain. The dog pays homage to the late Keith Haring, who was famous for his pop art paintings. The man holding the chain is wearing a hoodie and a scarf in front of his face. The dog is his weapon. The man represents Banksy, who uses art as his own weapon to raise awareness about social issues like war, poverty and injustice.
All Banksy prints marked as sold with a Certificate of Authenticity are supplied with official Banksy provenance in the form of a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Pest Control Office, the only body authorised to authenticate Banksy editions. Other Banksy works we offer, including authorised collectibles and ephemera, are 100% official, but do not come with a Pest Control Certificate, as Banksy does not issue Certificates of Authenticity for every type of work.
